Beginning with 80th Congress, March 1947, a section, Daily digest, is included
An index which includes History of bills and resolutions is issued fortnightly; currently index is bound separately
Congressional record (all editions) continues Congressional globe, 23d-42d Cong.; Dec. 2, 1833-Mar. 3, 1873
Old card #J11.R7. A serial no. must be assigned to those sets collected and is assigned to each physical col. of the bd. Cong. Record. The serial nos. were formerly assigned by Mr. Elitier, R. R. gallery, but we now assign them from our record which is kept on checking sheet with vol. and pt. nos. The "bibliographical" vol. may have several parts, which may not come out in consecutive order: e.g., V. 87, pt. 15, may come out before V. 87, pt. 12. If the serial no. for pt. 15 is 647, the serial no. for pt. 12 would be 644, and this no. must be saved for pt. 12 when it comes out. When vol. no. changes, call Mr. Elitier to find out how many nos. to allow for remaining pts., if any, of previous vols. Put a blue binding slip in each assigned vol. (1, 2, 3, 4, & 7) indicating on same the serial no. (handled in same manner as ser. set of con. docts. and reports) and send to Binding div. The serial no., however, is not placed in any of the vols., only on the binding slip. COMPLETE HOLDINGS IN S. shelflist in Ser. Rec. Multiple entry cards
